Gender affirming care turns out to be a hoax

As it turns out, the stated reason for the government schools for providing “gender affirming care” is bogus.

There simply is no reason except to follow the latest left-wing fad – one that is doing actual harm to children, according to science.

The Duval County school district has not only been instructing children on the mechanics of sexuality but also the joy of sex-changing.

Until it came to light, they were keeping it secret from parents when a child fell for the pitch and began to imagine belonging to another gender.

(In order to perpetrate this hoax, liberals have had to try to change the meaning of words, as they often do, and claim that sex and gender are not synonymous.

Sex education began to include this gender-bending theme and thus became sex indoctrination.

It all began to fall apart when the Florida Legislature passed a law that said to stop grooming very young children.

After joining other districts in a lawsuit seeking to block the law, the local School Board has refused to adopt a resolution proposed by one member saying it supports the law.

But after the law was passed and after loud parental protests, the district stopped publishing a guide for teachers that contains a lot of the gender material, although the administration has said it will incorporate the ideas into its training.

They have said all along that children confused about gender have been bullied and must be ensured they are “safe.” It still defends what it calls gender-affirming care.

“DCPS strives to create a culture of inclusion while countering the bullying, harassment, social isolation, and bigotry that dramatically increase risk factors for LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning) students. Gender & Sexuality Alliances (GSAs) are a great tool to improve spaces for ALL students through peer support, leadership development, and student empowerment,” the district’s Web site says. Eye on Jacksonville was suspicious of the bullying claim from the start. As we pointed out earlier, in one recent year there were only 80 incidents of bullying of all kind throughout the 150 schools in the district.

But the district has been criticized for fudging its numbers on school incidents. So, we asked the district — which has been forthcoming with information and says its incident count now is accurate — how many cases of bullying there had been last year that were based on gender.

We were astonished to get this response: “We can provide a demographic breakdown by gender of the aggressor and victim for each bullying incident. However, we are unable to determine if the root cause of a bullying incident is due to a student’s gender identification.”

In other words, none.

Even more astonishing perhaps, was this information from survey data that leaked out of district emails.

“Over 50 percent of students reported hearing homophobic remarks from their teachers or other school staff and 71 percent reported hearing negative remarks about gender expression from teachers or other staff.”

It appears that all the bullying is being done by district personnel, not other students. So, why lecture students about gender to stop bullying?

Also, was any action taken against the school personnel who have been bullying students? And how widespread is teacher bullying?

Studies show children who get gender-affirming “medical treatment” are more likely to commit suicide or suffer mental problems after they learn what adults have done to them.

Impressionable young children who are groomed into thinking they can change their sex are being harmed by medical professionals who have taken an oath to do no harm. Hospitals are allowing it to happen because it brings in dollars.

Government schools in Jacksonville should return to educating children by teaching them reading, writing, mathematics and history. Leave the social engineering to someone else.

Parents, perhaps.
